Level 0: The Lobby
The iconic starting point. Its endless yellow rooms and fluorescent hum set the perfect tone. A masterclass in environmental dread.
Level Fun!
A chaotic and terrifying shift from the usual liminal spaces. The constant threat of the Partygoers and the vibrant, twisted colors make this a standout.
Level 188: The Hub
A crucial central area that connects many other levels. It is a welcome respite but also a complex maze, rewarding exploration with shortcuts and secrets.
A-Tier Levels: Excellent and Engaging
These levels are highly polished and offer great gameplay, even if they lack the iconic status of the S-tier.
- Level 1: A vast, dark warehouse. Its expansive layout encourages exploration and hiding from entities like the Hound.
- Level 2: A maze of dark, narrow pipe tunnels. The constant need to navigate tight spaces while avoiding the Smiler creates intense, claustrophobic horror.
- Level 5: The Hotel. This level is a massive, sprawling structure with multiple floors and rooms. Finding the correct door codes is a rewarding puzzle.
B-Tier Levels: Solid but Unremarkable
These levels are well-designed but may feel like filler compared to the top tiers. They are still worth visiting for a complete playthrough.
Level 3
An electrical station with flickering lights and dangerous live wires. It has a strong industrial horror theme but can feel linear after a few playthroughs.
Level 4
An abandoned office building. It is a decent level with a recognizable setting, but the entity encounters are less frequent, making it feel safer and less intense.
Level 6
A dark, endless expanse of cubicles. The main challenge is navigating the confusing layout and avoiding the Dullers. It is effective but can be tedious.
C-Tier Levels: Underwhelming or Frustrating
These levels have notable flaws that detract from the experience, such as confusing layouts, unfair entity spawns, or a lack of engaging content.
- Level 7: A pitch-black underwater section. While conceptually interesting, the limited visibility and slow movement can be frustrating rather than scary.
- Level 9: A sprawling suburban neighborhood. The open space can feel empty, and the main threat (the Hound) is easily avoided by staying indoors.
D-Tier Levels: Best Avoided
These levels are often buggy, poorly designed, or simply not fun to play. They are the weakest part of the game.
- Level 11: An infinite city. While ambitious, the scale makes it difficult to navigate and the lack of distinct landmarks leads to aimless wandering.
- The Poolrooms: Aesthetically pleasing but mechanically dull. The lack of significant threats and the monotonous design make it a boring slog.
